The Coan Racing COA-22712-233 Xtra‑Lite Straight‑Cut Planetary is a race-focused gearset engineered for the Turbo Hydramatic 400 transmission, designed to provide elite-level performance with minimal rotating mass. Featuring a 3‑pinion reaction carrier and a 3‑pinion output carrier.
Built in the USA to Coan’s meticulous standards, this assembly drops into standard TH400 cases without requiring additional machining, a direct-fit performance upgrade for racers who demand quick, reliable, and repeatable gear engagement.
The COA-22712-233 balances weight reduction and strength, delivering the responsiveness favored in bracket racing, pro-touring, or any application where sharp, consistent shifts and drivetrain efficiency are critical. Its design enhances engine RPM control, making it an ideal choice for performance builds chasing both speed and precision.
